2008 Spring Season
REGISTRATION FORMAT: Registration is
on a first come first serve basis. When we reach the maximum
number of players for a team (20-22 maximum players for teams above U9) in a division, the next 15
players will be on a "waiting list" until we have enough
players to field another team. We do NOT have tryouts where
only the best players get a spot on the team. This holds true
for ALL players, even those who have played for FCYLL before.
The only time there would be a tryout is if we have a division
which has an A level team.
Our objective is for
everyone to learn and play the great sport of lacrosse.
PLEASE register early so we can determine the number of
teams in each division.
Who is my coach? What team will I be
on? Coaches will be determined at a later date. If there is only one team in an age group, that team will play at the B level.
Prior to the 2005 season, we received waivers to have multiple teams in an age group all at the B level. It is unlikely
we will receive waivers in the future.
In 2005, we had our first A level team.
NVYLL states that if there is more then one team in an age
group, the club will have an A level team. The number of teams per age group is directly
related to the number of players that register on time. PLEASE register as early as possible. We are limiting our teams to 20-22 player for age groups above U9.
These players will be those (new and old players) who register FIRST.
In other words, If you do not register on time, your player does not get to play.
So we may determine the skill level of all players, we will hold tryouts starting in January 2007. All players are welcome to come to tryouts.
The Boy's league
requires full equipment which includes: Stick, Helmet, arm
pads, shoulder pads, gloves, mouth guard and cup.
