Coaching applications

We are currently accepting applications for  Spring 2016 coaches.  If interested, please visit our website at fqlax.com  and select the "FYLL Coaches Application" on the left side.  Please consider volunteering your time for what will be a very rewarding experience. Head coaches will receive compensation for one registration at the close of the season, and Assistant coaches will receive compensation for their US Lacrosse membership. Coaches from 2015 should submit  an application by January 15th, 2016,  and new coaches have until February 6th 2016.

FYI:  Parents may only be on the field with the players, or on the sidelines at games, as an "approved" coach for FYLL.  This includes warming up goalies etc.  If you feel you may have interest in participating beyond collecting balls at practice, please fill out the application.

In addition, if you are concerned about scheduling issues, please just note that on your application and we will work with you. Many of our teams in the past have had great partnerships between Head and Assistant coaches to be sure that every game and practice is covered.

If you are new to the game, or need to brush up on your coaching, we will be holding  coaches clinics before the start of the season.

All coaches must have completed a Level 1 Certification, either online or at a clinic.  We encourage you to continue your education beyond that level, and NVYLL will reimburse FYLL coaches for level 2 or 3 clinics.  Please e-mail with your receipt of payment, certificate of completion, and your name and address.

The following links have information regarding the opportunities.

FYLL offers an equipment loan program for first time registrants to help defray costs.
A full set of equipment is provided so your child can try the sport for the first year without the need to make an investment in equipment.  FYLL will  hold your check in the amount of the replacement cost until the end of the season.  Your check is returned to you once all pieces of the equipment are returned.
Further details are available during the registration process.

Thank you, and please contact us with any questions.
